In 2023, New Horizon Family Health Services launched a new Mobile Medical Team (MMT) to bring quality, affordable health care to more people in need.

NHFHS was awarded funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to establish the MMT. The funding was used to purchase the state-of-the-art mobile medical unit and to hire the staff to provide services. The 35-foot mobile unit features two exam rooms and will provide a wide range of primary care services including preventative care, treatment for minor illnesses, and management of chronic conditions. It is staffed with a medical provider and a full complement of support staff.

The MMT’s current partners are organizations that serve some of the most vulnerable residents in Greenville County and provide connecting services such as addiction treatment and rehabilitation, affordable housing, and reentry programs. The Mobile Medical Team plans to expand its reach to other locations in our community, based on need and capacity.

Medical services provided by the MMT are NOT free. We accept Private Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and offers a sliding fee discount for those who qualify.
