At New Horizon Family Health Services, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates and satisfies our customers' needs. BILLING SPECIFIC
Can I be seen for free? No, we do not offer any services for free.
What are my payment options? We accept Medicare, Medicaid, various private insurance’s, as well as offering a sliding fee discount which is based on your household income and the number of persons living in the house. Accepted payment methods are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, cash, check and money order.
If I am on a sliding fee discount does my copay cover all of my visit? No, your copay covers your office visit only. Your incidentals (i.e. Lab work, Injections, EKG, etc.)are separate charges, but are also discounted.
SERVICE SPECIFIC
Can I see the same doctor every time? Yes, We want to be your medical home, continuity is important to your well being.
Can I change doctors if I want to? Yes, We try to schedule all of your appointments with the same provider. However you can change providers if you choose.
Can both children and adults visit your offices Yes, However our West End office specifically serves adults.
What if I get sick after hours or on the weekend? Our nurse on-call is available to answer any questions you have. To use this service call 233-1534 and choose option 4. Then leave a message and a nurse will return your call promptly. For a true emergency, call 911.
What if I need to go to the emergency room? If a true emergency proceed to the closest emergency room. If in doubt, check with our On-Call nurse for advise.
What if I get sick, but don’t have an appointment? Call or ask at the office for a same-day sick visit appointment or “work-in time”. You may also request to be called it there is a cancellation.
What if I need to be hospitalized? We have an agreement with the Hospitalists and Teaching Services for Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Greenville Memorial Hospital to admit our patients.
